After going into hiatus in March of 2023, LONDON BLUE will be making their return to their idol scene in what will be one of their most legendary performances yet, as the group prepares to debut its newest generation on the 10th Anniversary Live.
With new members ANNA, SHIORI and MAYUNA preparing for their stage debut, these three girls will take on LONDON BLUE’s history and prepare for the future during this milestone event.
Beyond Senpai have had the pleasure of talking to LONDON BLUE’s new members, their goals for the future, and their feelings on making their stage debut together after already working with one another as Radio Ambassadors!

ANNA: Nice to meet you, my name is ANNA and I am the leader of LONDON BLUE. I am in charge of the colour yellow. I like sleeping 3x more than eating, however I don’t let other people sleep thanks to my loud voice. Please call me An-chan!
ANNA: 初めまして。LONDON BLUEのリーダー、黄色担当、ANNAです。三度の飯より寝るのが好き。大きな声でみんなを寝かせません。あんちゃんって呼んでください！
MAYUNA: I am LONDON BLUE’s MAYUNA, from Yamanishi Prefecture, and I am in charge of the colour red. I will make you happy with my songs. I like to play the piano and will often play it when I am at home. Please call me Mayunyan.
MAYUNA: LONDON BLUEの赤色担当、山梨県出身のまゆなです。私の歌で皆さんをハッピーにします。私はピアノを弾くのが好きで、家でよく弾いています。まゆにゃんって呼んでください。
SHIORI: I am the member in charge of the colour blue for LONDON BLUE who loves to eat. Let’s blow ‘salt’* into the wind today, too!!! I am SHIORI! Everybody, please call me Shiorin!

*Shiori is playing on the use of the word ‘shio’ in her name, which means salt in Japanese.
First of all, congratulations on everybody’s Idol Debut! How does it feel to be one step closer to a sparkling stage debut?
まずは、みんなのアイドルデビューおめでとう！キラキラしたステージデビューに一歩近づいた気分はどうですか？
ANNA: Thank you very much! I’m nervous, but I wonder kind of Idol I will become, and the kind of group that LONDON BLUE will turn into with the three us of working together.
ANNA: ありがとうございます！緊張もありますが、これから自分がどんなアイドルになっていくのか、3人のLONDON BLUEがどんなグループになっていくのかの楽しみがあります。
MAYUNA: I’m looking forward to seeing what kind of stage we can create together. We all want to create a stage that we can enjoy alongside our many fans.
MAYUNA: これから、自分達がどんなステージを作っていけるのか楽しみです。沢山のファンの方と楽しめるステージを作りたいと思っています。
SHIORI: Thank you! Of course I am nervous, under pressure and anxious, but more than that I am very happy and excited to be one step closer to my stage debut, which I have always dreamed of doing!
SHIORI: ありがとうございます！！緊張や、プレッシャー、不安ももちろんありますが、それよりもずっと憧れていたステージデビューに一歩近づけた嬉しさやわくわくがとても大きいです！！
Everyone in the group are also ambassadors for Shimokita FM. What do you enjoy most about working as both Idols and radio personalities?
グループのみんなは下北FMのアンバサダーでもあります。アイドルとラジオパーソナリティの両方の仕事をしていて、何が一番楽しいですか？
ANNA: Shimokita FM is a programme on which many idols perform, so I enjoyed the fact that I was able to study them up close before I started my own idol activities. I enjoy learning not only about the idols’ performances on stage, but also about their talk and mannerisms.
ANNA: 下北FMはアイドルさんが沢山出演される番組なので、アイドル活動を始める前から身近で勉強することができた点が楽しかったです。アイドルさんのステージ上でのパフォーマンスだけでなく、トークや所作など沢山学べて楽しいです。
MAYUNA: I feel happy that people who listen to Shimokita FM have also come to my personal livestreams, and vice versa. One of the things I enjoy most about Shokita FM though, is that I can talk in a group of three people, as opposed to on my own.
MAYUNA: 下北FMを聞いてる人が個人の配信にも来てくれたり、その反対があったりすることが嬉しく感じます。下北FMでは1人ではなく3人で話せるのが楽しいです。
SHIORI: I am the happiest and most overjoyed when I can hear everybody’s comments and support directly from them!
SHIORI: みなさんからのコメントや、応援の声を直接きけるときがいちばん嬉しいし楽しいです！！！！！
When it was revealed that everyone would become a member of LONDON BLUE, what was the first reaction everybody had?
全員がLONDON BLUEのメンバーになることが明らかになったとき、誰もが最初にどんな反応をしましたか？
ANNA: I have always loved idols, so I was happy. But at the same time, I felt pressure to carry the historic LONDON BLUE on my back for our future activities.
ANNA: 昔からアイドルが好きだったので嬉しい気持ちがありました。しかしそれと同時に、歴史あるLONDON BLUEを背負っていくことにプレッシャーを感じ、これからの活動に責任を感じました。
MAYUNA: I was surprised. When I was told that I would debut, I couldn’t imagine myself as an idol, but I think I’m gradually starting to imagine myself as one the more I practise.
MAYUNA: 私は驚きました。言われた時は自分がアイドルとして活動をしていくという想像がつかなかったのですが、練習をしていくなかで少しずつ想像ができてきていると思います。
SHIORI: We all received warm responses from everyone around us, including good luck!
SHIORI: がんばってねなど暖かい反応をいただきました！！！！！
Who was the first person you told when it was revealed that you were going to debut as an Idol?
アイドルとしてデビューしたことを最初に話した相手と、その反応を覚えていますか？
ANNA: The first people I spoke to were my family. I was originally active as an actor, mainly on stage, and my family were always supportive even then, so that hasn’t changed, and they gave me words of encouragement with this new announcement.
ANNA: 最初に話したのは家族でした。私は元々舞台を中心に役者として活動していて、家族もずっと支えてくれていたので、変わらず応援の言葉を掛けてくれました。
MAYUNA: It was actually my mother who first told me that I would be working as an idol. My mother was also surprised by the announcement.
MAYUNA: アイドルとして活動をしていくことを初めに伝えたのは母です。母も驚いていました。
SHIORI: I told my mother first. She has been watching me sing and dance since I was a little girl, so she was happy with the news!
SHIORI: 最初にお母さんに話しました。小さい頃から踊ることも歌うこともだいすきだった私をずっとみてきてくれたので、喜んでくれました！！！
How does it feel to be able to perform together as an idol group after working together as radio ambassadors?
ラジオ・アンバサダーとして一緒に活動した後、アイドル・グループとして一緒に公演できることをどう感じていますか？
ANNA: I am very happy. I hope that from now on, as members of the same group, we can experience and overcome many things together.
ANNA: とても嬉しく思います。これから同じグループのメンバーとして、共にいろんなことを経験して乗り越えていけたらなと思います。
MAYUNA: I joined the Radio Ambassador programme a little later than the ANNA and SHIORI, but they have both been very kind to me since then, so I thought that together, we would make a good group.
MAYUNA: 私はラジオのアンバサダーには途中からの参加になったのですが、2人とも優しく接してくれたので、この2人とならいいグループになりそうだなと思いました。
SHIORI: I wasn’t expecting much at first, so I was a little surprised that this happened, but I am very happy and looking forward to it!
SHIORI: 最初はあまり想像していなかったので、少し驚きもありましたがうれしい気持ちとたのしみな気持ちが大きいです！！
Has it been a dream for everybody to debut on stage one day, or is it a new dream that was created with LONDON BLUE?
いつかステージでデビューすることはみんなの夢だったのか、それともLONDON BLUEで生まれた新しい夢なのか。
ANNA: I had a goal to continue being an expressive person in any form. Also, I’ve always loved idols, so I had a vague dream of becoming one myself, but I never thought I would actually make my debut.
ANNA: どんな形であれ表現者でい続けたいという目標はありました。そして昔からアイドルが好きだったのでぼんやりとしたアイドルの夢は持っていましたが、まさか本当にデビューすることになるとは思っていませんでした。
MAYUNA: Standing on stage as an idol is a new dream for me.
MAYUNA: アイドルとしてステージに立つというのは、自分にとって新しく生まれた夢です。
SHIORI: Personally, I thought it would be fun to debut with these members, so my dream came true!
SHIORI: 個人的に、このメンバーでデビューできたら楽しいだろうなと思っていたので夢がかないました！！！！！
Of course, LONDON BLUE will celebrate the groups 10th Anniversary this September. Please tell me your feelings about joining a group with a long history. Is it an exciting feeling, or a little scary?
もちろん、LONDON BLUEは今年9月にグループ結成10周年を迎えます。長い歴史を持つグループに参加する心境を教えてください。ワクワクする気持ちですか、それとも少し怖いですか？
ANNA: When I am rehearsing and imagining the up-coming live show, I feel a lot of excitement. But when I think about standing in front of people, I also start to feel pressure.
ANNA: リハーサルをしているときや、ライブの想像をしているときはワクワクする気持ちが大きいです。しかしいざ人前に立つことを考えるとプレッシャーも感じます。
MAYUNA: I am excited. I hope we can create our own kind of LONDON BLUE while we carry the history of the band.
MAYUNA: ワクワクしています。これまでの歴史も受け継ぎつつ自分達なりのLONDON BLUEを作って行けたらと思っています。
SHIORI: To be honest, I am feeling a bit of both. Of course I feel pressure and anxiety, but I am more excited and happy because it has always been my dream!
SHIORI: 正直どちらもあります。プレッシャー、不安ももちろんありますが、ずっと憧れていた夢だったのでわくわく、嬉しい気持ちの方が勝ってます！！！！！
The new members have been working closely with former members of LONDON BLUE to prepare for the anniversary live, right? Have there been any important lessons and values that everyone has taken from the OG members as you prepare for your stage debut?
アニバーサリーライブに向けて、新メンバーはLONDON BLUEのOGメンバーと密に連絡を取り合ってきたそうですね。ステージデビューに向けて、みんながOGメンバーから学んだ大切なことや価値観はありますか？
ANNA: The LONDON BLUE OGs were all kind and gave me a lot of advice. First of all, they taught me to practise a lot so that I wouldn’t be nervous on the stage, and above all, the told me to enjoy myself. I was very happy to hear them say that.
ANNA: LONDON BLUEのOGの方々は皆さん優しくて、沢山のアドバイスをいただきました。まずは本番で緊張しないぐらい沢山練習をすること、そして何よりも自分が楽しむことを教わりました。
MAYUNA: During practice, I could tell that everyone was trying to make the live show an even better experience by sharing their own opinions towards the stage and how it should go..
MAYUNA: ステージへ向けてみんながそれぞれの意見を言い合うことで、より良いライブ作りをしていこうということが伝わってきました。
SHIORI: I think that the most important thing I learnt was to enjoy myself and smile!
SHIORI: とにかく自分が楽しむこと、笑顔でいることをいちばん学びました！！
What song are you looking forward to performing live for the first time during the 10th anniversary live show?
アニバーサリーライブで初披露されることをみんなが一番楽しみにしている曲はありますか？
ANNA: I can’t tell you yet because it would be a spoiler, but I’m really excited about the song that the three of us will unveil together. We are putting a lot of effort into practising for the show.
ANNA: ネタバレになってしまうのでまだ言えませんが、私たち3人のお披露目となる楽曲はとても楽しみです。力を入れて練習しています。
MAYUNA: The three of us are looking forward to performing ROCK ME SHOCK ME together. It will be an important first song to start our activities, so we want to enjoy performing it for everyone.
MAYUNA: ROCK ME SHOCK MEは新メンバーの3人で披露させていただくので楽しみにしています。活動を始める大切な1曲目になるので、楽しく披露したいです。
SHIORI: The name of the song is a secret, but it’s a very exciting song, so I’m really looking forward to it!
SHIORI: 曲名は内緒なのですが、盛り上がれる曲なのでとてもたのしみです！！！
LONDON BLUE has many songs, but is there one song in particular that resonates with the members most?
LONDON BLUEにはたくさんの曲がありますが、特にメンバーの心に最も響く曲はありますか？
ANNA: LONDON CALLING is the song that resonated with me the most. So, I would like to send this song all over the world for everyone to hear.
ANNA: 私はLONDON CALLINGが最も響きました。世界中にこの楽曲を届けたいです。
MAYUNA: I especially like Special my love. I think it has a lovely tune, and it was the first song the three of us practised together.
MAYUNA: 私が特に好きなのはSpecial my love です。可愛らしい曲調が素敵だと思いますし、1番最初にこの3人で練習をした曲でもあります。
SHIORI: Special My Love. It’s a song that has lovely lyrics and a soothing tune that really touches the heart.
SHIORI: Special My Loveです。素敵な歌詞と落ち着く曲調がとても心に響きます。
Of course, I would also like to ask if there is a style of music the current formation of LONDON BLUE would like to introduce to the fans?
もちろん、現在のLONDON BLUEが今後ファンに紹介したい音楽のスタイルがあるかどうかも聞いてみたい。
ANNA: We want to continue to deliver both cool and cute songs that only LONDON BLUE can do. I also think that it would be great to create a song that is more Japanese Kawaii, which is unique to Japan.
ANNA: LONDON BLUEにしかできない、かっこよくてかわいい曲を今後もお届けしたいです。また日本ならではのJapanese Kawaiiをお届けできるような楽曲があっても素敵だなと思います。
MAYUNA: We don’t have a musical style at the moment. Of course, I hope to create a style with my fans in the future.
MAYUNA: 今のところ音楽のスタイルはないです。これから、ファンの方々とスタイルを作っていけたらと思います。
SHIORI: I would like to try the band style of music, which our seniors did!
SHIORI: 先輩方がやられていた、バンドスタイルにも挑戦してみたいです！！！！！
The idea of ‘Idol’ is broad. LONDON BLUE are known as Cool&Cute Idols. Everybody, please tell me what kind of ‘Idol’ each member is, and if LONDON BLUE will go beyond Cool&Cute with the current lineup.
アイドル」という概念は広い。クール＆キュートなアイドルとして知られるLONDON BLUE。各メンバーがどのような「アイドル」なのか、今のメンバーでクール＆キュートを超えていくのか、教えてください。
ANNA: By aiming to be cool and cute, I want to become an idol that is liked by men and women of all ages. I may not be cool or cute at the moment, but I want to find my own idol image from now on.
ANNA: クール&キュートを目指すことで、老若男女に好かれるアイドルになりたいと考えています。今はまだクールでもキュートでもないかもしれないけれど、これから自分なりのアイドル像を見つけていきたいです。
MAYUNA: I want to become the kind of idol who can create a fun stage with their fans. We want to show both our cool and cute sides.
MAYUNA: ファンの方々と楽しいステージを作れるアイドルになりたいと思っています。私達のクールとキュートどちらもお見せしたいと思っています。
SHIORI: We will of course respect the cool and cute style that our seniors have carefully built up, but we also want to bring out the colours that only we can create as Idols!
SHIORI: 先輩方が大切に築き上げてくださったクール&キュートを大事にするのはもちろんのこと、私たちにしか出せない色も出せていけたらなとおもいます！！！
Everyone, please tell me a goal that you have in mind for LONDON BLUE.
皆さん、LONDON BLUEでの目標を教えてください。
ANNA: Our big goal is to go abroad. To that end, we have many goals, such as performing at Idol festivals throughout Japan, doing a one-man live in a big venue, and so on
ANNA: 大きな目標だと海外遠征です。その為にまずは国内のアイドルフェスに出る、大きな箱でワンマンライブをやる…など沢山の目標があります。
MAYUNA: My goals are to let more people know us and show them a good time.
MAYUNA: 私が目標にすることは、より多くの人に私達を知ってもらうことと、楽しい時間を共有することです。
SHIORI: I want to make lots of people smile and be happy! Of course, we also want to become a group that can make more and more people say ‘I love you, LONDON BLUE!’.
SHIORI: たくさんの人を笑顔にしてしあわせにする！！！！！もっともっとたくさんの人に、ロンブルだいすきだよ！！！て言ってもらえるようなグループになる
What would you like the fans to pay attention to with the new formation of LONDON BLUE?
新体制のLONDON BLUEについて、ファンに注目してほしいことは？
ANNA: This is still a work in progress for us, too, but I think it would be cool if the three of use could deliver a powerful performance despite how small we are. Everyone, please enjoy this small animal feeling we will embody! (laughs)
ANNA: まだまだ私たちも模索中ではありますが、3人とも小さな身体で力強いパフォーマンスを届けられたらかっこいいなと思っています。同時に小動物感も楽しんでください！笑
MAYUNA: I hope our fans will continue to watch us as we work hard and grow.
MAYUNA: ファンの方々には、これから私達が、頑張って成長していく姿を見ていてほしいと思います。
SHIORI: All three of us are small in size but full of energy.
SHIORI: 3人そろってサイズ感は小さいけど元気はいっぱいだよってところです
Can you tell me what sort of things everyone would like to experience as Idols and members of LONDON BLUE? (For example: a live tour, travelling abroad, helping in the creative process, etc.)
みなさんがアイドルとして、LONDON BLUEのメンバーとして、どんなことを経験してみたいか教えてください。(例えば、ライブツアー、海外旅行、創作活動の手伝いなど。）
ANNA: I’d like to be in a band, like the one my seniors did – isn’t it cool to be in a three-piece girl band?
ANNA: 先輩方がやられていたようにバンド活動をしてみたいです。3ピースのガールズバンドかっこよくないですか？
MAYUNA: I want to go on a live tour. And I would like to spend time with as many fans as possible and increase my fan base.
MAYUNA: ライブツアーに行きたいです。そして、少しでも多くのファンと時間を過ごし、ファンを増やしていけたらと思います。
SHIORI: Performing in bigger venues, national tours, overseas lives… I want to do everything I can to challenge myself as an Idol!
SHIORI: 大きい会場で公演をする、全国ツアー、海外での公演。挑戦できることはなんでもしたいです！！！！！
